The number of employee related law suits has been steadily increasing. In 2004 alone the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission handled about 80,000 Charges. EPLI coverage is critical in protecting companies from the potentially catastrophic cost of employment litigation.
Robin Campbell defines EPLI and the potential impact on employers. The EEOC is the federal agency responsible for enforcing employment discrimination laws, which include hiring and firing, compensation, promotions and layoffs, recruitment, disability leave, and other terms and conditions of employment. Financial Executives should have a through knowledge of EEOC procedures and policiesregarding employee related law suits.
No company is too small or big to have an employee related law suit. Robin Campbell will outline ways for companies to protect themselves and limit the possibility of having an employee related law suit.
