West Virginia struck for two in the first on the 10^th HR of the year by Andrew Lefave, but the Power did not have a base-runner until the 5^th and a hit until the 7^th as Monasterios (9-6) was able to buckle down.

It was the first complete game of the season for a Lakewood pitcher.

Welinson Baez tied the game in the 2^nd with his 2^nd HR of the year, and Tuffy Gosewisch gave the BlueClaws the lead with a 4^th inning SAC fly to drive in Charlie Yarbrough.

Gus Milner, who robbed Steve Chapman of an extra-base hit in the top of the 8^th inning, singled in two with the bases loaded in the bottom half off of Shawn Ferguson to give the BlueClaws a 5-2 lead.
