Myers scores winning run to beat Delmarva
D'Arby Myers scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to seal a wild 5-4 walk-off BlueClaws victory over the Delmarva Shorebirds on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Park. Shane Mathews (0-1) missed his target with the bases loaded and Matt Rizzotti at the plate allowing Myers to trot home from third base to end the game. The BlueClaws did not have a hit in the inning, as Myers reached on an error before Dominic Brown was intentionally walked and Michael Taylor was hit by a pitch.

Cambero scores winning run to down Captains
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Julian Sampson fired six LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Alberto Cambero scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the BlueClaws a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Lake County Captains on Friday night at FirstEnergy Park.
Tied at five entering the ninth inning, Travis Mattair led off the BlueClaws half with a base hit into centerfield off of All Star reliever Dallas Cawiezell (2-5). Cambero, who was added to the BlueClaws roster prior to the day's game, was brought in to pinch run. He advanced to second on a Freddy Galvis sacrifice and moved the final 180 feet on a pair of wild pitches with Joel Naughton at the plate.

Warren comes through in 4-3 BlueClaws victory

Lakewood comes from behind again
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws pulled off another come-from-behind win on Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Park, taking a 4-3 victory over Greenville. T.J. Warren was the offensive hero once again, notching a bases-loaded double to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 lead. Lakewood trailed 3-0 entering the bottom of the sixth, but scored all four runs off of reliever Michael Rozier to complete the comeback. Warren finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBIs. He is now hitting .571 (12-for-21) in his last seven games with seven RBIs.

Sterner earns team-best eighth victory
HICKORY, N.C. - The BlueClaws bounced back from a disappointing loss on Monday night to knock off Hickory on Wednesday night at LP Frans Stadium 5-4. It was the first meeting this season between the BlueClaws and the Crawdads. The victory prevented back-to-back Lakewood losses, a streak which dates back to a doubleheader sweep by Lake County on June 27.

Willie Carmona joined the BlueClaws on July 29th from the GCL Phillies where he was batting .348 with a pair of home runs. After a slow start, Carmona is 12-34 over his last nine games and hit home runs on both Thursday and Saturday. We talk to Carmona about his time with the BlueClaws, growing up in Long Island, becoming a switch hitter, and a lot on his time with Stony Brook, and helping the Seawolves reach the College World Series this year.
