Lakewood falls 6-5 after walk-off long ball

EASTLAKE, Ohio -- Matt McBride hit a walk-off three- run home run with two outs in the ninth to hand the BlueClaws a crushing 6-5 loss. The Lakewood defeat, coupled with a win by West Virginia kept the BlueClaws a game and a half game behind the first- place Power.

Jared Simon was forced to try for a five-out save and was one pitch away from getting it, but McBride, who was pinch hitting for Juan Valdes, crushed a fastball out of Classic Park for the game-winning runs.
