When a player gets drafted but decides not to sign with an organization, he must sign a slip of paper saying that. Jiwan James signed that slip of paper in 2007. But Chip Lawrence, the scout who drafted him, kept that paper.
As it turned out, James changed his mind, signed with the Phillies, and after one year as a pitcher, one year injured, and a year in Williamsport, Jiwan James is now the center-fielder for the BlueClaws.

On March 5th, the BlueClaws announced that beginning in 2012 all crowds will be capped at 8,000 fans ( read the release here). This is the first time that this will ever happen at FirstEnergy Park, which opened in 2001 and has had 4.8 million fans watch BlueClaws baseball in the team's first 11 years. Legg touches on a number of players, including Sebastian Valle (who hit two home runs in the Delmarva series), Jonathan Villar (who stole 15 bases in May), Leandro Castro (who hit his fourth home run of the year on Monday) and more.
